Whole body work outs are possibly the smartest choice when beginning. You then progress to concentrating on specific muscle groups later on. Warming up and stretching is something that mustn’t be neglected. It will help you avoid injury and maintain flexibility.

You should eat a healthy diet. Focus your diet on protein, carbs, and calories, but be careful not to take them excessively. Spread your meals over the day by eating five to six meals. Eat more food but do it progressively. Taking those extra meals helps you bring in extra calories and food required for muscle development. Make sure you take in protein in the form of eggs, meat, poultry and milk (you can also try protein supplements). You can get carbs from cereal, rice, potatoes and pasta. Have additional milk, eggs, cheese, bananas, whole grains, cereals, pasta, rice and potatoes.

Try to consume more fruit and veg so your body has sufficient levels of vitamins and nutrients.

Also drink plenty of water. Avoid sweet sodas, alcohol along with other sugary drinks. Also, get adequate sleep daily and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Whenever you eat, give enough time for your body to absorb the meal. It is far better to have no less than an hour’s gap before hitting the gym. Consume something nutritious immediately after exercising.

Before you start your workout routine, let a trainer guide you how to use the exercise equipment properly and help you in making an individualized training program.

Continue with the workout plan for at least two or three months as it does take time to see results. You will feel tempted to quit a workout routine too quickly because about to catch getting big quick enough, but it’s advised to wait for sometime because it might help you in getting there faster than if you keep changing and risk overtraining.

Take it easy at the beginning perfecting good form then gradually increase the weights

Doing cardio is also of benefit. It keeps you fit and this can then help your training.
